I am having issues as well conecting Motu 8 pre with my system. I have windows 7 64 bit and it seems that the Firewire drivers are not recognizing anything. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't... I rolled back to Legacy drivers, actually tried every single driver and not one of them gave me a better result.
Motu Drivers Windows 10
We have drivers for our FireWire/USB2 audio interfaces, FireWire video interface, PCI-424 audio interfaces, PCI video interfaces, and USB MIDI interfaces to operate with 64-bit versions of Windows. The minimum drivers required with 64-bit versions of Windows 7, Vista, and XP are:
DriverGuide maintains an extensive archive of drivers available for free download. We employ a team from around the world which adds hundreds of new drivers to our site every day. How to Install Drivers Once you download your new driver, then you need to install it. To install a driver in Windows, you will need to use a built-in utility called Device Manager. It allows you to see all of the devices recognized by your system, and the drivers associated with them.
If you are having trouble finding the right driver, stop searching and fix driver problems faster with the Automatic Driver Update Utility. Many computer problems are caused by missing or outdated device drivers, especially in Windows 11. If your deskttop or laptop is running slow, or keeps crashing or hanging, there is a good chance that updating your drivers will fix the problem. Automatic updates could save you hours of time.
Those of you of a fruity persuasion will have by now noticed that I'm banging on about Windows. There's a good reason for this. I had hoped to be able to do a direct AB comparison between my MacBook Pro and my Windows machine, both running Pro Tools 12.4HD and connected to the MOTU via Thunderbolt. However, my MBP is currently running Yosemite, and it seems that MOTU driver development for the HDX-SDI stopped at Mavericks. Unlike Windows 10 which seems happy on the whole with Windows 8 drivers, Yosemite won't recognise the MOTU device, either as a video peripheral or as an audio device. Which is a massive shame. More about this later in the summing up.
If the device-specific driver is distributed through Windows Update, you can manually update the driver by using Device Manager. For more information about how to do this, see update drivers in Windows 10.
The M4 provides best-in-class speed for monitoring live inputs (mic, guitar or keyboard) through your computer, thanks to MOTU's expertly engineered USB drivers, which deliver class-leading, ultra-low 2.5 ms Round Trip Latency (at 96 kHz with a 32 sample buffer).
A two-judge bench, comprising the chief justice and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain, took suo motu notice of the state of affairs in Pakistan Railways after the death of a pensioner outside a bank branch in Mughalpura, Lahore.
The chief justice was annoyed over the absence of Railways chairman in the court and ordered the PR authorities to submit a report indicating what efforts were afoot to repair defective locomotives and how much time would it take to repair them. The report should also suggest what measures are being taken to retrieve precious Railway lands and to curb corruption in the department by ensuring that tickets are sold at the windows.
I have a laptop that I use for on-site recordings. I thought I had it set for recording and recorded a 3 hour gig. It turned out every 8 minutes there was a dropout. I got the PC dropout problem resolved by doing a clean install of Win 10 with OS, needed drivers and the DAW software and plug ins, nothing else. The fix was recommended by a friend that has a custom-built DAW PC company.
Both desktops are running windows 10. I have reduced the start ups to the minimum, worse being the screen saver. Ran the cubase program yesterday with no latency however I have to add some percussion parts now so I'm hoping it will not resume the 'Jeckle and Hyde' syndrome It happens to be the name I have given to the 2 desktops. I really appreciate the help and advice from you all, thank you. 2ff7e9595c
